International Yoga Day is celebrated annually across the globe, coinciding with the winter solstice. The aim of the day is to spread awareness of the many benefits yoga has to offer. Many people around the world join others in communal spaces to practice the art of yoga. The day also allows and encourages people to communicate the benefits of yoga, and spreads awareness to those who may not be familiar with the activity.
So join the Civic Green, to embrace winter and all the different types of yoga that are offered in our beautiful city. Warrnambool’s yoga instructors have united to offer up a yoga session every hour on the hour. Each session will be ticketed (for monitoring purposes) but will be offered for free. A perfect opportunity to give it a try.
BYO mat, water bottle, beanie and stretchy pant, they’ll supply the instructors and relaxing vibes.
