About

Experience the charm of one of Victoria’s oldest heritage listed properties.

Relax in the friendly atmosphere of a fully restored bluestone Georgian private hotel of historical importance. Originally built in 1853, Victoria House Portland has a long history of making people very welcome.

Enjoy complimentary Port or Sherry and fruit cake in front of the open fire, relax with a good book in the sun-room, or take time to smell the roses in the garden.

All rooms have comfortable furnishing, reverse cycle air-conditioning and heating, en-suite bathrooms and some have baths as well.

Victoria House is located very close to the sea, harbor and Nun’s beach, and within easy walking distance to the city centre, cafes and restaurants. Portland’s cable tram, the Information Centre & Maritime Museum, the District Hospital and the lovely botanical gardens are all nearby.
